Presenting the first ever virtual Young Norfolk Arts Festival!

In the light of so many festivals and gatherings being cancelled or postponed we have decided that this year’s Young Norfolk Arts Festival will be a virtual event.

Whilst we are disappointed not to be able to bring everyone together in person, we are looking forward to the challenge of an online YNAF and making sure it feels like a real celebration of young people’s creativity.

YNAF 2020 will run from Friday 3 – Monday 6 July on various online platforms and will include:

  • virtual art exhibition curated by members of our YNA Collective
  • online creative workshops and speaker events
  • online celebration showcase for the Young Norfolk Writing Competition with the National Centre for Writing
  • virtual performance stage– with a mix of pre-recorded performances and live streams

Some of our other planned projects and performances will be postponed until this Autumn (TBC) or carried over to YNAF 2021.

How you can get involved…

Enter your writing to the YNWC

You can submit entries to the Young Norfolk Writing Competition until 22 May; this could be stories, lyrics, narrative for games, graphic stories, poems, spoken word, scripts, podcasts, plays, articles, journalism or essays!

You can enter up to six pieces of writing, and audio entries are also welcome across all entries (except graphic novels). Find out more at https://nationalcentreforwriting.org.uk/ynwc/

Perform on our virtual stage

Are you a performer aged up to 25? We’ll be putting out a call out for musicians, poets, dancers and more to either record your own performance at home, or to work with us to stream live on Saturday 4 July! Get in touch with us a enquiries@youngnorfolkarts.org to find out more.
