See information below on how to apply

The current situation has changed everything. Some call it The Great Pause.  No airplanes in the sky, nearly empty streets, faces behind windows looking out. Whatever it is, every day extraordinary things are happening. We are living a time of historical transformation.

The team at Imagining History UK, led by Dina Gusejnova, Assistant Professor of Modern History at LSE University of London, are offering a small group of keen young writers the opportunity to work with them over YNAF 2020 weekend. By exploring, observing, recording, noting, collecting, thinking, sharing and writing about what is currently happening in your changed and changing individual worlds, we will build a collective archive of the time of Covid19. The East Anglian writer and journalist Elizabeth Ferretti will work with you to use this archive to inspire a work of Speculative Historical Fiction.

How to apply

Places are limited, to apply to be part of this programme please email some information about yourself, your writing and why you would like to take part in Time Shifting to The Director, Imagining History UK, by Sunday 28 June. You must be available for 4 daily sessions, running 5-6pm from Friday 3 – Monday 6 July.
