THE FLOWIN AND GLOWIN FESTIVAL

Sunday 10 July 10.30am-4pm | The Garage, Norwich

Ticketed, with all proceeds going to Bloody Good Period

The Flowin and Glowin Festival is a fantastically exciting day of events, a celebration of all things menstrual and equality in our community, with a special focus raising awareness and funds for refugees living with period poverty. This celebration includes Feel Good Zumba, Flow & Glow Yoga, Will Power’s Family Drag Bingo, as well as live music, stand up comedy, life stories, face painting, fun refreshments and lots more still to be announced.

This youth led project has been planned by the Taverham Community Ambassadors, in partnership with staff from The Garage, with the aim is to take social action and to make change within their community. The Community Ambassador Programme (CAP) is held at Taverham High School, and the group decide to support and raise awareness about two topics they’re very passionate about – period poverty and the refugee crisis.

The event will be supporting UK-based organisation called Bloody Good Period, who provide support for asylum seekers and refugees who menstruate and cannot afford period products, which are not a luxury, but a necessity. The CAP is co-design collaborative project part funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Clarion Futures, and supported by the DCMS, National Lottery Community FundHAYN Volunteering Academy and the #iwill foundation.
If you would like to make a donation on the day to our cause, boxes and tubs will be provided to donate period products as well as places to make monetary donations. So please bring them with you to contribute!
