Love writing? Aged 11-18? We’re working with our pals at the National Centre for Writing to find the freshest, boldest words in Norfolk.

Send in your stories, lyrics, narrative for games, graphic stories, poems, spoken word, scripts, podcasts, plays, articles, journalism or essays! For a chance to win individual prizes, mentoring opportunities and have your work performed and published.

How to enter

To enter, you must be aged 11 to 18 and be living and/or studying in Norfolk, or your school or home address has an NR postcode.

You can enter up to six pieces of writing, and audio entries are also welcome across all entries (except graphic novels). The deadline for entries is 5pm, Monday 31 May 2021.

Young Norfolk Writing Competition is a partnership between Arts Council England, Norfolk County Council, Norwich UNESCO City of Literature, Young Norfolk Arts and the National Centre for Writing.
