Wear, tear, mend, repeat…Kate Harper from We Wear The Trousers leads a workshop on mending clothes to promote sustainable fashion.

The workshop will introduce some creative techniques to visibly mend or cover a stain on a knitted or woven garment, using patching, darning, applique or creative embroidery. Bring a garment* from home to work on, or produce a decorative patch to take home.

These workshops have been curated by Young Norfolk Arts Collective, exploring themes of Longevity, Interactivity and Togetherness with some leading practitioners and the Collective themselves! No previous experience is necessary, all abilities welcome.

This workshop is for those aged 16-25. The workshop is suitable for beginners with all materials and equipment provided.

*if you’re a complete beginner, we suggest bringing a garment made from woven fabric- denim is a great choice!
