Calling all young filmmakers! We need your help in shaping our film screening for the Young Norfolk Arts Festival 2022, which will be held at the Norwich Arts Centre on Sunday 3rd of July and online.

What is it about and what can I submit?

The Young Norfolk Arts Collective are looking for short films of a maximum length of 15mins that haven’t been shown publicly before and are looking for submissions of all genres and types of filmmaking and animation, and with any theme. There will also be the opportunity after the screening to network with the public, filmmakers and professionals to create and build relationships.

Films not selected for the screening at the Norwich Arts Centre will still be showcased in some capacity online.

Films submitted must be family friendly due to the audience of the festival being for children and young people.

We expect the short films to be already made and are not looking for new films to be created within the time leading up to the deadline submission date at midnight on Sunday 22nd of May.

How to submit

This opportunity is open for anyone aged 16 – 30 living in (or with links to) Norfolk and you can submit 1 film only.

To submit your work, please complete this form asking for personal details and information about the film submitted. You will need to add a link to the film for us to view which could be a unlisted Youtube link, Dropbox, WeTransfer or any other platform of your choosing. If you have any questions please email

Deadline for submissions is midnight on Sunday 22 May 2022.

If successful, you will need to provide the film for the screening and high resolution film stills (150 – 300dpi) so we can promote your film and the event.
