Head Out Not Home on Sunday 25 July

Join Young Norfolk Arts and Norwich Arts Centre for a showcase of young musicians as part of the FREE Head Out Not Home summer music programme. We’ll be bringing tinyumbrellas, Macie Nyah and Maple Ward to the Westlegate stage, 2-5pm. Find out more.

#FigurineItOut Exhibition

The Norwich 2040 Local Cultural Education Partnership has been inviting schools and youth groups from across Norwich and Norfolk (and beyond!) to be part of an exciting collaborative project. With thousands of young people creating their own figurine to capture how they are feeling as we come back together as a community. You can find them exhibited in windows and space across Norwich this summer. Find out more

Queer Norfolk Stories

The Queer Norfolk Stories audio trail celebrates the wonderful extraordinary ordinary lives of local LGBT+ people! You can listen to the audio trail throughout Norwich city centre. The trail is available using the ECHOES application and geolocated sound to provide an immersive journey around Norwich, and you can download them to listen to from home. Sound Systems

Let members of the YNA Collective on a sonic adventure! Sound Systems explores our very own individual theme tunes; the songs our nervous systems crave and sing. You can discover the Collective’s own Sound Systems throughout Norwich city centre using the ECHOES application and you can download them to listen to from home. Find out more.

Film East Takeover

As part of YNAF 2021 we were taken over (!) by Film East, a group of young film programmers in Norwich, They released an exclusive podcast episode for festival-goers that explores LGBTQ+ icons in film. To pair with our City of Strangers project, they also curated a programme of films that centre around the theme of immigration and migration. The digital programme includes 16 films split up into four different strands, focusing on different aspects of the modern migrant experience. Find out more.

ReConnect, ReEngage, ReDiscover

An exhibition inspired by the experience of the Young Norfolk Arts Collective and young people in Norfolk, returning to friends, family, nature, community and the city as lockdown eases. Find it online here.
